Enjoy the underwater photography without touching the water

The underwater world is mysterious and beautiful. As to the limit conditions, the underwater photography is hard to be widespreaded. The seaquarium becomes the best location. You can work out the good works as you master the skills.

Large aperture with high sensitivity

The seaquarium is generally built indoor. The light is supplied by the illumination system. It's very dark. You should try to choose the wide-aperture lens to intensify the light. Some cheap cameras have the good image quality with the high sensitivity. You can improve the shutter speed to capture the wonderful moment of the moving fish.

Shutter priority

The fish in the sea quarium always keeps moving. It's easy to cause the blurred image in the dim light. To resolve the problem, you can use the large aperture. And you need to improve the ISO to satify the shutter needs. We can take the pictures of the relative static fish at the speed of 1/50. You can set the shutter priority. The speed is set at the 1/50s.

Use flash with extreme caution

The tourism curtian wall is composed of heavy sheet glasses. If you take pictures with the flash through the glass, there will be obvious flares on the image. It will have direct effect. So you may try to turn off the flash. If you need the flash to compensate the brightness, the lens should be close to the glass curtain wall.

Close up

The coral will be planted in some aquarium to make a vivid underwater world. You can choose the beautiful coral as the background. And you can treat the small fish as the subject. You will catch a special moment. Of course, the close-up is a good choice. You can take pictures of the fish group. If you can choose the clear water surface as the background, you will get the perfect image just like the underwater photography.

Manual exposure

The aquarium relies on the artificial light source. No matter when we take the pictures of the coral or fish, we'd better test the light on the shooting subject with the metering system. You can also set the shooting mode at the "M" level if you shoot in the same place for a long time. And you can set the aperture and shutter as to the tested data.

Adjust the white balance flexiblely

Generally speaking, it's ok to set the auto white balance. If the light is dark, you can set the white balance for tungsten.
