subject: How to Choose An Amazing Vacation [print this page] How to Choose An Amazing Vacation How to Choose An Amazing Vacation
Well, we better start off with the most important aspect of all vacations: the money. Without money, you can't even think about going on vacation. The specific amount of money you're willing to spend completely influences your destination choice.
If money is an issue, you might think about taking a road trip to see all that this magnificent country has to offer. Road trips can be great for couples looking to just get away for the weekend, or families that want to see the world. If you've got a very restless group you're planning to take on vacation, maybe renting a motorhome would be a good idea. RV's can be a HUGE lifesaver for every member of the team. Although pricier than just taking the trusty ol' car, it will probably make up for the cost in the long run.
If money isn't necessarily an issue, I would suggest flying somewhere within reasonable distance. It has to be somewhere that is different than your usual surroundings though, or else it doesn't seem like much of a vacation. For example, people without direct access to an ocean might want to fly out to California or Florida for a while. (A little secret, there are many other places with great, if not better, beaches than the two mentioned above. For example, North and South Carolina, Oregon, Louisiana, and Texas all get great reviews.)
If you're looking to splurge and basically throw your money out the window, then going to a different country would be an excellent decision. Flying to places like Hawaii, the Bahamas, Thailand, Japan. Places that are completely different than what you're used to. If you're leaving it all on the table, you might as well do something not many people get to do.
If you've got kids to take into account, think about some theme parks that are within your reach. Disney Land, Disney World, Six Flags, places like that. All kids love to get adrenaline rushing through their veins. Seeing the smile light up their face should reassure you that you've made the right decision.
I hope this article has helped you in some way. Vacations are meant to be fun and enjoyable. Choosing where to go is just half the fun. So don't stress when trying to make your decision.
