Racing with Native Speaker Writers
Racing with Native Speaker Writers

As a new freelancer writer, who in a newbie, I restarted my English studies. It was almost 20 years ago that I graduated from University, in branch of English Literature. Within the different subjects, we have English Grammar, as well. Our Teacher was Mr. Khavari, in Mashhad University. I remember that he was a very serious teacher. He was dry. He had no sense of humer, but, he was a very good teacher. He used to work hard on each and every sentences. His class was very boaring. I didn't like his classes, like some other studends, if not majority of them.

I was thinking when the semester was over, and when we would be free of such boaring class. Anyhow, I passed the exams. My score was not brilliant in grammer( as my writing shows!), but, it was enough to pass the term successfully.

Now, I missed Mr. Khavari a lot. after starting my new job as a freelancer writer, I got the importance of his classes. Now, I can understant his zeal and enthosiasm. Now, I understand how useful his classes could be for us. Alas, I was reading grammar for scor. I got it, but I lost some golden opportunities. I could not enjoy beauties of a language. I could not obtain the skills needed for being a good writer.

Presently, again I went to find my grammer books, Practical English Grammar, Practical Grammar Usage, and so on. I see some hand writing here and there, reviving memories of grammar classes. I revisualize my English Grammar Class. I can even smell it. Egain, I can imagine that I am sitting at the same classes and Mr. Khavari asking me about some grammatical point. There was no fun in it, but, I missed those classes. And moreover, I missed my dear teacher, Mr. Khavari.

For the time being, I know the importance of having a command in English Language. Now, I came to work in an arena that the most of writers are native speakers. The website which I am working with is excellent. I am working with www.freelancer.com. I like the site, but, I can't ignore that when I see some people emphasize that they want just writers who are English native speakers, I become jealous. I wish I could show them that sometime a non-native speaker can write as a native speaker writer. Alas, I was not an attentive student in ,my grammar classes.

I hope, my dear teacher, Mr. Khavari, would see my article. It was an opportunity for me to express my feeling towards his nice personality and appreciate his hard working.

Anyhow, I am sure that if Mr. Khavari see my article, before paying attention to the text, he will try to find my msitakes! I have no objection! It is his nice habit!! It is time for me to correct myslef at his absence!
