MLM Success- Belief.
It may appear blatantly obvious, but developing a significant organisation and enjoying MLM success is no simple feat , and the reason why for those select few who do succeed , the economic rewards are significant.
So why is it so demanding to develop a successful Network Marketing organisation?
There are various reasons for this, and despite the fact that a significant selection of skill-sets and leadership qualities are essential, possibly, at the hub of the matter is one small, almost insignificant little word, BELIEF.
Belief
As individuals we perpetually struggle with the negative voice inside our heads; a voice that constantly chatters away reminding us of all our past failures, faults and short-comings ;comparing our weaknesses to others' strengths , deflating our optimism we can succeed.
It is a ferocious battle, and for some, on a level beyond conscious awareness, with thoughts controlling us rather than us controlling our thoughts .From the split second we awake it is fought every second of every minute of each day and for us to have any possibility of success it is a battle which must be won.
Stepping out of the comfort zone, facing our fears, choosing our own route rather than the safety of the herd is a choice which nesessitates definite commitment, and one made all the more problematical if we are repeatedly fighting this negative self-talk every inch of the way.
That such a huge "Self-Help" industry has developed underlies the importance of the problem. The "Gurus" flourish and explain in great detail the theories and how because of affirmations, audios, association, goal setting etc we can overcome this obstacle
Napoleon Hill did not title his outstanding book "Think and Grow Rich" "Work and Grow Rich"; it is undeniably our thoughts and our BELIEF in these thoughts which sculpt our world.
An outstanding, but little known book on this subject is by Mike Hernacki "The Ultimate Secret to Getting Absolutely Everything You Want."
A great title and fascinating book, well worth reading. In circumstances faced by many,Hernacki outlines how, over many years he implemented all these "self-help" suggestions: goal setting, affirmations, time management etc and still found himself no further forward. It was only through a bout of illness did he undertake the intense self-analysis necessary to realize the self-delusion and ultimately look his enemy in the eye.
Without an unshakable belief in ourselves and our abilities, success is and will continue to be elusive.
It is in those quiet raw moments when we strip away all the claptrap and finally appreciate we , in reality, do need to control our thoughts if we want to win in the game of life.
There is certainly an 11th commandment: "Thou Shalt Not Kid Thyself"
