Columbia Movies distributed an action movie titled "The Green Hornet" into movie theaters back in January. I just watched it,and it ended up being much better than I imagined it would be,particularly in the action department. It genuinely delivered nonstop action throughout the movie. The movie stars: Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Cameron Diaz, Christoph Waltz, Edward James Olmos, David Harbour,and Tom Wilkinson.
The Green Hornet movie revolved around two gentlemen named Britt Reed aka Green Hornet and Kato. Britt Reed spent almost all of his childhood partying on his rich Daddy's dime,while Kato worked as a mechanic for his daddy,and he also made one hell of a cup of coffee.
Sadly, Britt's father drops dead from a believed bee sting that he was greatly allergic to. Following that, Britt took over control of everything his father owned,as well as his extremely successful newspaper. Britt feels happy with leaving control of the paper to his father's right-hand man,so he can do other mad things. He after a while meets and befriends Kato after he realizes his coffee just doesn't taste quite right anymore attributable to Kato getting fired.
The 2 at some point, start reducing crime as the Green Hornet and Kato after Britt learns that Kato can actually kick butt,in conjunction with being a great mechanic and coffee maker. In addition, they enlist the stunning Lenore Case to be their journalist for the paper,and very soon notice that the paper was primarily being controlled by a criminal organization,which ultimately resulted in his father's death.
This fact leads to a great,action-filled showdown towards the conclusion,which resulted in a whole lot of stuff torn up and blown up. The flick was great because it featured automobile chases,gun shootouts,comical moments,fighting,and more. Also, Britt and Kato's relationship did not go without turbulence because they had to fight it out in a very intense scene,so it also delivered a good deal on the drama side of things.
I thought John Cho really did an exceptional job playing Kato. Seth was excellent as the awkward Green Hornet,and Cameron Diaz was fiery and smoking hot. I gave the film a very good A grade.
