TrustPort Antivirus 2010

TrustPort Antivirus 2010 is a comparatively latest virus with Czech roots. The virus is similar to G-Data Antivirus in that it utilizes two engines antivirus, Bitdefender and AVG engine. As G-Data Antivirus, the combination of two free antivirus engines makes excellent detection results. According to AV-Comparatives, TrustPort has some of the adware / spyware detection rates, but also experience slow scanning speed due to the charge of two engines. TrustPort also recommend many exclusive features, including Internet security and the capacity to selectively disable antivirus engines. We'll see how TrustPort 2010 compares to competition.

Installing TrustPort is comparatively smooth and completed in about 5 minutes. The executable is a series of 144 megabytes in size large, which is by far the largest antivirus executable available. In addition to the large size, the download server was very slow. The executable is also great interest because the version of Internet security is only 19 megabytes larger, but also includes a personal firewall and a bunch of other utilities.

One thing I like about the setup is that the software alerts the user to check if other antivirus programs are already installed. This observation is essential as often users attempt to install a free antivirus program on top of a virus that could be included with the laptop / computer. This situation creates problems especially if both include antivirus protection in real time. If you access a file virus, another virus program also access the file creating a slowdown.

Protecting the Internet has unique characteristics. One being that the ports for the web and checking email can be configured and changed.

The virus scan was a bit slow and took about 2 hours to analyze all the test system, the AM 152 GB partition. Port Trust does not report false positives, which is contrary to the report of AV-Comparatives about false positive and significant. Other review sites antivirus TrustPort has also found that high rates of detection Adware. We found that Port Trust failed to detect all viruses on our test disc virus.

TrustPort Antivirus 2010 is a normal and does extremely well in distinguish adware. Unfortunately, TrustPort not actually an interface to mature and it will be confusing for the novice user. Antivirus Port Trust could be very interesting if the company incorporates antivirus engines into their software.
