subject: Sri/cai what is better [print this page] Sri/cai what is better Sri/cai what is better
Hi, I'm new to writing articles online, only a couple articles for the past two weeks. Not only do I specialize in car, fitness, tourism and weight loss, you can also check out my latest website at http://www. countertopwinecoolerchoice.com/ which reviews and lists the best wine chiller for your wine.
Well, enough with the introduction and let's dive in the real subject. Lots of people like to modified there car so it look better, sound better, have more power or all of the above. I will mainly focus on the little add-on that give your engine a little much power, way better sound and most important of all not very expensive.
Generally, the first "mod" that people consider is a (CAI) cold air intake replacement. Basically, by replacing the air filter with a CAI more air is allowed in the engine thus giving it more power. Buyers have two choices when it comes to cold air intake:
Short ram intake or SRI is very popular; give the engine a beautiful roar that lots of people are looking for. However, few people know that the SRI does not add any horse power. Its eliminate the air restriction but because the its stay in the engine compartment, only hot air get suck into the engine, and in order to get power more cool air is required.
Cold air intake or CAI on the other hand comes with a longer tube that reaches the bottom of the car close to the ground. Being far from the engine and close to the ground give the opportunity to suck cold air which results in more power. It is true that it increase the power but it also come with one issue. Being close to the road mean that when it rain, it will suck water in the engine causing hydro-lock (Water inside the engine increasing damage and even destroying it).
Final word, SRI and CAI will both give your engine a meaner sound but only the CAI give more power but come with possibilities of hydro-locking. It can be prevented if someone chooses the CAI with some more gadgets but that is another topic that I will write about later.
