Before starting my article I will like to say a few words about health.

"It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver."

Each and every season has its own importance but most people like winter season because it offer so much to enjoy - delicious food, warm clothes etc. On the other hand, this season also brings several illnesses cold and cough, fever etc. People try to protect themselves in all possible ways but many of them do not succeed and fall sick.

Here are some easy tips to take care of health in winter and protect from possible illnesses.

Drink herbal tea in winter as the nutrient and anti-oxidants present in herbal tea gives energy. Herbal tea is beneficial for our health. It protects us from several heart diseases and even from cancer. Herbal tea also cures us from headache, stomachache and immunity problems.

Try to avoid junk food, pizzas, burger, chips, noodles, or Chinese dishes. Junk food affects our immunity system and increases the possibility of cough and cold.

In winter season there is high possibility of catching viral fever. So wash your hand before eating. Do not always rub your nose and eyes. Try to wash your hand 4-5 times a day with any good quality liquid soap.

The easiest way to protect yourself from any kind of disease is good dietary supplement. Try to take vitamins and minerals to improve your immune system. Every dietary supplement is not beneficial. In many dietary supplement, there are huge quantity of synthetic vitamins and minerals which needs to be avoided.

Try to eat protein and carbohydrate in more quantity and saturated fat in less quantity. These supplements give strength to our body which helps to fight with germs that causes diseases.

Try to drink lots of water as it helps to reduce toxin from our body. Especially if you have cold and cough drink lots of water. Try to drink at least 10 to 12 glass of water every day. You can also drink juice and milk. Do not smoke as it is harmful for health.

Kids and elders should wear warm woolen clothes when going out.
