Poetry is all about expressing one's feelings through words rather than through actions. Things are better said through writing than saying them in real life. This poem is all about friendship - real friendship, in the sense that one is always there for the other especially through the hard times and by being there for each other, they brought out the best in themselves.
Of all the friends that I have
You were the one who's right by my side
Through good times or bad times
You were always there for me all the time
As my true friend, you have always been my guardian angel
Guiding me through the things that I do
Always telling me to do what is right
That would sometimes lead us to have a fight
Whenever everything seems to go wrong
You always try to find a way to make it right
No matter how hopeless it might seem
You never did give up
When everyone seems so hopeless
You never ever lose hope
And even if its pretty much useless
You still tried to make it work to make it a success
Through all the things that we've been through
Never did you once ever gave up hope on me
You got me back on my feet
And told me never to admit defeat
You brought out the best in me
Like you know that I'll always be
You're the one who keeps lighting up my way
Like you always do every single day
You have become my inspiration
The only person that could make me feel this way
Through my hapiness you were there to be glad for me
Through my sadness you were also there to comfort me
You are like a priceless treasure
'Coz you mean so much to me
You were the one who made our ordinary friendship
Turn into the perfect kind of friendship that others could only dream of
You molded me into the person who I am today
Without you, I would still have been the same
And nothing would ever be the same without you
'Coz without you, I wouldn't be this way
Couldn't have thought up of a better friend than you
With our friendship that is so true
And I hope that as years passed by
You wouldn't forget our friendship that started with a "hi"
