It must be sought in a spirit of prayer, conversion of heart, respect, perseverance and love, far from any suspicion, fear or injury that are an obstacle to unity. We hope to see our churches to renew their ecumenical commitment through practical action:- Support the Middle East Council of Churches;- Provide training in the ecumenical spirit in parishes, schools and seminaries, for exploiting the achievements of the ecumenical movement;- Apply the pastoral concluded agreements, where applicable;- Organize meetings between pastors and faithful to prayer, meditation on the Word of God and the cooperation in all areas;-
Adopt a common Arabic translation of the Our Father and the Nicene Creed.- To work for the unification of the date of Christmas and Easter.The Eastern Catholic Churches, living in communion with the Church of Rome in their fidelity to the traditions of the East, have an important ecumenical role to play.The Synod Fathers encourage these churches to the ecumenical dialogue at local level. Also recommended that the Eastern Catholic Churches are more involved in the commission of international dialogue, to the extent possible.Proposition 29Feast of the MartyrsEstablish an annual joint celebration of the martyrs for the Eastern Churches and request any Eastern Church to establish a list of its martyrs, witnesses to the faith.
