Who would not desire for power? Admit it. One time or another you have secretly desired to have power over others just like a super hero having that power for good or for bad. Essentially, power means different things to people. But as a whole power is the ability to influence and control others to acquire a desired outcome. An outcome which sometimes lead to personal desire.
All through our career, we may find ourselves in a position where we need to establish contact with people and help others realize their goals. All these will require you to rise to a position that demands the use of power. But of course the power you acquire will depend on your position and stature. By stature we mean your education, experience, and personal qualities. If you play your cards right and pass through extensive employment background check, then it's likely that you acquire the position you desire and the powers attached to it.
There is, however, a major problem that comes with power and positiontemptation. Some men who hold tremendous power, perhaps in a momentary lapse of judgment, abuse their power. Records Search reveals that some corporate leaders are tempted with the rewards and perks attached to their position, which often results in a disgraceful dismissal. The power that every leader had was really the desire of every man, but having much power sometimes changes a man's belief and worst they change.
As a newbie in the career force, you have to choose wisely when it comes to jumping to positions and power. You need to consider the perks and benefits and how those will affect your stature. You would not want to obtain power today but lose your stature. This would make it much difficult to acquire the position you want someday where perks and benefits come naturally.
Remember that human beings have infinite wants and are easily swayed into jumping ship to take advantage of the power a position provides. Many gamble their stature just to get what they want. But keep in mind that the more you gamble your stature, the more you lose.
