The History of Hewlett Packard (HP)
Two friends and schoolmates from Standford University, Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard, formed Hewlett Packard (HP) in 1939 with only 8 at hand and working from a one-car garage in Palo Alto.

The first inkjet printers and laser printers for the desktop were produced by HP in 1984 and signalled their entry into the printer and ink cartridge market.
