If you're considering going to a renaissance fair, then you should realize that planning one afternoon is tough, with the sights to see and items to hear. Renaissance fairs are known for their activities but for the festivities that certain day might not be enough. Hence, proper planning is required to maximize out of your day.
One thing I usually do before we go to a renaissance fair is always to understand what type of medieval clothing can we wear. Understand that the fun begins with the choosing of a medieval costume to put on! Often times I do a list of what characters I would wish to play this season and my list would go on to incorporate pirates, Knights, Kings, Princes, and also some mythical creatures I've considered at the last moment. And I'd check my favourite online medieval look for a listing of costumes which they carry.
My next stop should be to connect to the organizer and know beforehand what sort of activities have they got in-store for visitors. Because most with the renaissance fairs that come across our area are moving, I'm always treated to new things each and every time.
