How to Lose 18 Pounds in 4 Days - A Guide For Women

On the internet, you can find weight loss plans promising great and unimaginable things like how to lose 18 pounds in 4 days, for example. Is this really possible? If so, how can it be done? Is this really something you should pursue or can it really be unhealthy?

Let's go over these questions one by one:

Is it possible to lose 18 pounds in 4 days?

It may be possible as there are reports of people who have done it. I never tried to lose 18 lbs in 4 days and I don't ever intend to try. It seems like an exaggerated weight loss with very low chances of succeeding.

The reason is that you will have to create a massive calorie deficit to make achieve weight loss. What may be possible is that you basically lose a lot of water weight, not fat. This may make you lighter in weight when you get on the scales but will do very little for you in terms of how you really look, how firm you are and so on.

How can you attempt this kind of fast weight loss?

Let me make it clear, I do NOT recommend that you try to lose so much weight so fast. It seems pretty crazy to me. However, it may be done (and I stress the word: may) by combining a detox diet with some heavy exercising.

A detox diet involves eating very little during your day. Your diet will mainly consist of fruit juices to help you cleanse your body from within. The low calorie intake and the cleansing fluids help to flush your body of much of its water weight and prepare you for more gradual weight loss in the future.

Normally, due to the low calorie intake you're getting, you will not be working out while on a detox diet. However, if you're trying to lose 18 lbs in 4 days, you may need to do some extreme stuff. You will probably need to workout each and every day, doing cardio workouts and weight training to burn off additional calories.

Is this something you should try? Is this healthy?

In my opinion, a more gradual, less extreme approach would be better for you. Losing so much weight so fast requires deprivation which may lead to tiredness, crankiness, lack of energy and so on. It can also have more serious side effects.

As a rule, you should strive to lose weight in a more reasonable pace. You can still lose fat quite fast, just not as fast. This is my recommendation
