If you haven't heard by now, George Brown has released the sequel to his popular product called Google Sniper. The newest version is aptly named Google Sniper 2.0 and I wanted to give an honest opinion for all of you who are on the fence about whether to try it out.
When the first Google Sniper was released, it caused a bit of a stir in the internet marketing community due to the strategy that is laid out. Most internet marketers have heard of niche marketing, in fact it is a very popular method of making money online. However, George's new concept was to create a Wordpress site based on a single keyword phrase which was not really done before (or at least talked about). Many folks made money pretty quickly on this new concept however, and Google Sniper was a hit.
Fast forward to 2011 and Google Sniper 2.0 is out is it any better? Well, my personal opinion is that things have changed a bit since 2009 when version one was a hit. If you have been in the forums and chat rooms, you will know that many internet marketers are having a hard time finding really great keywords to snipe, with lots of searches and little competition. Could this be that too many people are using George's system? Well, let's not get dramatic. Actually, there are still people hitting it out of the park with Google Sniper. The only difference is, now you have to go the "extra mile" and build a few backlinks to your site. And quite possibly, use affiliate networks besides just Clickbank such as Amazon or even Commission Junction.
In Google Sniper 2.0 George explains this, and has a new video to lay out the process which you can use to quickly get backlinks and make sure you still make money with his system. Not only that, he goes over a few products that have worked for him recently and of course still goes into great detail about the keyword selection process. Believe me, the keyword process is at the heart of this system! Without picking a great keyword phrase, and getting the right domain setup, you stand little chance of making money. The good thing is, George goes over that in detail both in his manual and the videos, so if you follow it to the letter it's still pretty easy to make money.
So what are the bad points about Google Sniper 2? The main part that I have had some trouble with is the inconsistency of judging traffic using Google to find exact matches for a keyword phrase. In the system, George tells you to put the keyword phrase in quotes to find real competition. The problem is, one day you may find only 6,100 exact matches and a few days later find over 12,000! What's the big deal? The number of competitors and their strength, that's what. The less competition you have the better! Of course, as George says, some sites work better than others. Finding a really good phrase takes practice, but once you get the hang of it problems like this don't come up that much, as long as you have enough searches for your keyword.
In conclusion, I still think that Google Sniper is a great product. And yes, I have the original and the new one, so between the two of them I have my bases covered making money for awhile. As long as Google is still around this system will continue to work!
