System Tool (also known as System Tool Virus) is one of the most persistent infections on the net today. It infects your computer and immediately disables your defenses so that you will not be able to remove it. To pressure you into buying it, System Tool replaces your desktop with a huge warning message as follows:

Your computer is infected with Spyware!

All you do with computer is stored forever in your hard disk.

When you visit sites, send emails... All your actions are logged. And it is impossible to remove them with standard tools. Your data is still available for forensics. And in some cases for your boss, your friends, your wife, your children.

Additionally, System Tool displays the following fake blue screen of death message and restarts your computer.

System Tool Virus Removal

Bookmark this page, you may need to refer back to it as the removal process requires a computer restart.

In Windows, click on Start and select Run. Type 'shell:common appdata' without the quotes, to open your Common Application Data folder.

In the folder from above step, find a randomly-named folder, example gElOcIk08520 (this folder will be located directly in the Common Application Data folder). Right-click this folder to open it.

Inside the above folder, find the file that has the exact same name as the folder from the above step, so in this example, the file name will also be gElOcIk08520. Right-click this file and choose Delete. If delete fails, right-click on the file and choose Rename. Rename the file to anything else, example abcde.

After you successfully delete the above file, restart your computer.

Once you are able to delete the above file and restart your computer, you should be able to run your own anti-virus program to remove System Tool. Update your existing anti-virus program and run a full system scan to remove System Tool.
