WAS THE GARDEN PEACEFUL?
The findings of the science world are that, humans beginning was something like survival of the fittest way of life. This is because humans were like animals, behaved so.
Schools of taught believe man started perfect and live in harmony with all creation.
Standing in the middle of the two proposals we investigated. There was nothing to be our testing tool but the account of Genesis. As much as human was known to live in harmony, peaceful in the Garden by the schools of taught, a statement in the account seems to counteract that. When human has reached his final tough of perfection, he was given a garden to rule, that is the east of Eden. A command was issued to man in (Genesis 1:28 )to subdue and take dominion. We try to analysis these two words, and it did not sound well in our ears compared to schools of taught.
According to the oxford advance dictionary, subduing is bringing under control by false. Other dictionary interpretations are to overpower and bring under control,
to suppress or conquer (feelings, an enemy, etc), to reduce in intensity, eg colour, noise, etc; to tone down. The other word the statement used is taking dominion; rule; power; influence. A question then arose, how can garden so peaceful in harmony call for such strong words? If this verse is as true as it says and means, then one has to understand that, there is a question mark to what schools of taught think about the life style of man in the garden, unless may be man has gone contrary to the command issued by the Creator, which is not found in the account of Genesis. The verse seems to tell one that, there was some sort of struggle in the garden, even though it is not officially printed that it was survival of the fittest. It was the responsibility of Adam to bring them under submission, not in a persuasive way but rather false. What calls for the word false? False is applied when one is unwilling to subject to authority.
One unwilling to subject to authority is authority of ones own. To break such one is to show the power of your authority beyond one. According to this verse, the animals in the garden were not automatically submissive. All the living animals have their genetic coding right from the beginning of creation. The genetic coding for animal's teeth, like that of a lion as a beast of prey, the beak of hen, and others, were not formed after the fall of man. The teeth of lion is not for chewing leaves but tearing meat apart, which is completely different from the beak of Hen. So the Creator commanding Adam to subdue such a prey was in the right cause. The findings of the science world are worth looking into, according to this verse.
