How to settle your SAT score with a great College Essay?

It's that time of the year, which every child dreads from middle school. The sun is shining, the birds are going tweet, and you are sitting in your room shut up from all the enjoyment, because you are stuck at this inquiry "Who are you?" you are already dejected with your CGPA, and you are getting even more down because after a complete self analysis, you don't have particular skill or talent (Just a heads up, Face booking is not a talent!) your hobbies are the classics i.e. "reading, singing etc", nothing exclusive to shine. Have no fear, there is still a chance to change, and that is the Perfect College Essay for admission.

You can call it as college essay, application or admission essay, but here I would be using the college essay term for both so don't confuse yourself with research paper or thesis. With the orientation procedures done lets go to the compilation of your essay.

The most amusing, and common sense-less blunder is the starting point; the predictable "Hi my name is X and I love all humanity" well so does everyone. The admission board doesn't have time to know you, they already have the name and your social activities, social groups you have joined etc, so don't go into repetition. The admission board have to check a lot of papers, and if they have been having BB day (Bad and Boring) then they wouldn't even want to know you, less than read your college essay, so heads up, don't make a common introduction. The beginning can be related to "My name is X and I have an ambition to accomplish" sure it may seem dramatic, but at slightest try to be a diamond in the rough. It is said that the first 10 seconds of any occasion, like speech, presentation and a college essay are the making or breaking of your life. It's in these 10 seconds that the reader decides whether to continue with the college essay appraisal or not; so trying grabbing the first 10 sec.

A comical mistake that every student makes is the recurrence of "I have joined these groups, I do these activities" etc. you have already written that, so no more the similar, it's time for a difference, like who you actually are and what you crave to be. You can talk about your past education experiences, and what have you learned from it.

Another common mistake that the unconscious students make are using of the frequent and jargon language, for example "you know; I can't even tell, it was hell, for crying out loud etc" so make a clean grammatical check before handing it over.

Making lame excuses that why your grade is is low isn't going to assist you. They just want to identify why you wish for to join this university/college; who influenced your life, any life changing experiences etc. And don't forget to mention about your dreams, the places you want to visit etc.

And lastly but not the last, proof read and show it to your folks, they know you better than anyone and can help polish up your college essay.
