Marc Gasol ejected for pointing at the Jumbotron

The NBA has the most arrogant, insecure officials In sports at any level. They call more techs and eject more players than any other sport. This situation was totally blown by the ref.Let's see... how can I make as big an ass of myself as possible? I know, I'll blow a call! No... not big enough... I know! I'll give the guy a technical for rightfully arguing the blown call! No, still not big enough.... I've got it! I'll make it his second technical of the game so he's ejected in the second quarter. Yay Me! Yay being an unfireable member of a union!

Just one more example of how arrogant the refs/league have become. Each time this kind of action occurs, the GM of that team should protest to the league office. If this happens enough, something will change, if not, the NBA is doomed to be reduced to WWF status. I've stated this many times, we want to watch and enjoy basketball played at its highest standard...we don't pay to see refs dick-up the game by acting like spoiled children. Since the giant screen does influence crowd perception and behavior, (and, it should), the next logical move for the village idiot Stern is to outlaw any replays in the arena. Wait for it...

Change the call or not, mistakes are an accepted and inescapable human trait and to deny that 'you' made one or could make one is simply asinine.

Since the advent of Jumbotron technology, NBA players and coaches have made a show of either watching or pointing to the replay featured above, following a tough call that didn't go their way. Refs clearly don't like the practice, but more often than not (as the groaning crowd will no doubt let the referees know, following the replay), the referees are aware that they blew a close one, and they'll let the player or coach vent, point or stare at the flickering images above.

This is a first, to these eyes at least, and I've been watching players and coaches keep their eyes peeled on these replays for ages. It should be reminded that Marc didn't get two technicals for pointing to the scoreboard, cheap wedding invatations but that doesn't make the whistle any less unprecedented.
