Step 1 - Create a free 'incentive' product
Just like when you walk through a big grocery store and they give you those free sample, so to must you create a free 'sample' for your leads to get their hands on and use. Whichever niche you are in, create a product that you will give away to your leads so that they can get some good value, see what kind of knowledge you have and what kind of expertise you have to offer. The key to making this first step work hard for you is by giving away extremely valuable free products, as the more free value your leads get the more likely they are to purchase your products in the long-run.
Step 2 - Create a squeeze page
The squeeze page is the tool you'll use to acquire your new leads, and is how they are going to gain access to your free products. This is created with an autoresponder service, which costs only a few pennies per day to use, and is the tool you use to setup those webpages that have a spot for your name and email address. You simply set these up and make an offer for them to get your product, putting up a slot for their name and email address. Once they signup, they'll get immediate access to your free products and you'll then have a new lead in your sales funnel.
Step 3 - The welcome email
This is the first autoresponder email that your leads will get, and should be friendly and warm, introducing yourself further and providing them with another link to download your free products. This email will set the feel for the rest of your emails, so you want to be friendly and start building the relationship the right way.
Step 4 - Create a follow-up sequence
The follow-up sequence is the most important part of the funnel, as you want to ensure you don't come on too strong and you want to ensure you offer lots of value. Offer an email every few days that is loaded with content and more free gifts, as well as passive recommendations for your products and/or services.
