Whether your interested in trading forex to replace your income or just to create a little extra income on the side if you don't have a successful proven strategy your just going to keep going around in circles.
You may find with out using a strategy of some sort that you will probably have the odd fluke profitable trades, but what we really want is to be able to employ a strategy that is going to be profitable 7,8 or even 9 times out of 10.
There are many different companies and people out there who offer "THE SOLUTION" whether it be a strategy or an autopilot software that claims to create consistent profitable trades. You may also find that a lot of the strategies out there are ridiculously confusing and they expect you to have 10 different indicators running at once which you have to cross examine each one against the other just to come up with an answer on whether to place a trade or not, in which usually by the time you've done all those calculations the entry signal has come and gone and you have missed out.
I have been using Forex trading for a few years now as part of my monthly income and I can tell you now I did try a bucket load of different strategies all claiming to be profitable and easy to use! Pfffft could've fooled me I felt like a computer technician with a doctors exam put in front of me with most of the strategies! And you guessed it I could never get the strategies to work for me consistently. I found in the end after about a year and a half of chasing different strategies that the strategy that works best for me is so simple I found it hard to believe that it was going to work. I have been trading this strategy for just over a year now with consistent profitable trades sometimes as high as 8 or 9 out of 10 profitable trades, now don't get me wrong im not going to tell you that when I share my strategy with you that you are going to be a top gun trader in minutes! Nooooo sireee im afraid this is not a get rich quick scheme, there is more to trading than just having a workable strategy! One of the biggest things I had to overcome to become a profitable trader was my mindset! If you don't have your mindset setup to trade you could have Warren Buffets strategies right in front of you and STILL lose! Mindset is massive when it comes to trading, it took me a lot of hard work and study to be able to leave my emotions at the door and trade based of my technical and fundamental analysis rather than letting my old friends "FEAR" and "GREED" tell me what to do. Now don't get me wrong I am no supernatural person I am a normal everyday guy just like you and everybody else the only difference is I stepped out of the whole myth that the only way you can live is by holding up a job and working till your 65 and then enjoying it. So don't let that voice in your head or the family or your neighbor or whoever tell you that you cant be a successful trader! Because here I am to tell you that YOU CAN BE.
There are some great books out there on the mindset of trading one of my favorites is Trading in the zone by Mark Douglas this man is a genius when it comes to trading and the mindset of trading.
Now on that note I need to help you understand Forex trading just like any other trading does come with its risks, up on learning to trade the forex successfully I would advise that this is not just a scheme where you can spend 5 minutes playing around and you will be the next Warren Buffet!! There must be study and hard work put in to becoming a successful trader. Every trader knows the risks that he or she is taking when investing money in trading the markets and they are willing to put that money on the line to make more profits from it, and they are also aware that if something were to not go to plan they may lose a lot of money as well.
