Satellite TV providers are quite popular among people in the United States. For best entertainment needs, people have resorted to satellite TV companies for years now. But with different scams, issues and problems unfolded these days, it has become a tougher task to believe what is offered by several satellite companies.
One such renowned satellite TV companies in USA is DirecTV, which has offered many promotional offers, best deals, and discounts on its wide ranging programming packages. People were lured to these offers and discounts without having a slightest hint that this would lead them into deception. Yes, DirecTV lifted the discount once a subscriber was attracted towards other promotional offer.
A DirecTV subscriber recently complained that she had subscribed to a discounted package provided by DISH Network. However, just after two months, she received a call from the company and informed about other promotional offers, which were quite tempting to ignore. So, she took up one immediately. However, to her surprise, she found out when she received her bill that her discount was cancelled! Moreover, she was told that she would not receive bill for the first month of service, but she was billed at the end of first month at exact date.
After making calls and spending numerous hours with customer service, they assured that everything will be put back correctly in place. However, this did not happen. Then the subscriber asked for the corporate number, but she was just given a physical address'. She even tried sending two letters, to which she received a reply in the mail clarifying that they tried calling her number but the service was not available. However, according to subscriber, she had provided them with her email and cell number, but they didn't try to contact her. She has even said that she never keeps her mobile off and it remains always with her, hinting at the fact that supervisors of DirecTV never made an effort to contact her to solve the issue!
It is pretty evident from this incident that since DirecTV supervisors know that whatever they have done is unethical, they will not call up subscriber at any cost. The subscriber even tried to get out of the contract without having to pay the termination fee. She told the DirecTV managers that she would like to get back her original package, which she had subscribed to along with the discount, which is stripped off without any information to her. She is completely disappointed as nothing is going her way and every time she is calling up DirecTV, the person on the other side is continuously telling her the same old thing that they have been telling her over the past 3 and a half months!
Truly, the subscriber is going through a difficult and pitiful situation, where she is the only sufferer and loser as well. Although DirecTV supervisors verbally assured to putting things right, but as of now, nothing fruitful has been done, which is a great cause of concern for the present subscribers. In fact, others who were thinking of signing up with the company may now move steps back and think and rethink over taking up any package from the company.
