Hold onto your hats ladies and gentlemen, because we are in the thick of another year as we move quickly throughout 2011. As with any year, the fashion and beauty trends that are becoming more prominent and lauded by pundits always are fascinating. This year begs to differ no more than any year prior, as beauty and fashion are constantly changing with society and the trendsetters that make everyone want to hop on the bandwagon with them. After some careful examination of different beauty trends for 2011, there are five cake toppers that truly shine and stand out from the rest of the pack. And you might be surprised as to just what they comprise.
Five Emerging Beauty Trends in 2011
1.Pajamas that look like skinny jeans. This is a newer fashion fad that is taking over like a New England blizzard. More and more gals are getting their hands on these pajamas, and you can usually find them wearing them out at popular chain coffee shops, too.
2.Gel manicures are the new wave in nails. No longer must we rely upon smelly, toxic chemicals just to get our nails done. These newer soak-off manicures are nontoxic and work just as effectively as the rest. Popular name brands include Design's Shellac and OPI's Axxium.
3.Keratin hair treatments are creating a trend. More and more hairstylists are ditching chemical-infused hair treatments that often contain formaldehyde for these nontoxic alternatives. These keratin hair treatments offer the same results, but with fewer chemicals or allergic reactions.
4.Airbrushed tanning is replacing sunbathing and tanning beds. It's safer, just as affordable and it looks equally as sexy. No more must we subject ourselves to harmful UV rays, be they naturally or artificially emitted. Spray tanning is equally as effective and very safe.
5.Temporary tattoos, or skin art, are being shown off on major runways. Keep your eyes peeled for tattooed models; usually they are fake tattoos. One classic example of these would be spray-on swimsuits that many models and magazines have demonstrated over the past year; a trend that has somehow yet unsurprisingly transcended over and onto the runway.
