I once promised myself I would never take out a loan on anything if I didn't have the cash, I didn't need to make a purchase. Without them, people like me couldn't work, couldn't go back and forth to the grocery store or doctor, and may not even be able to take their kids to school. The car loans allow people with little or no money down to still obtain a car loan just by providing proof of income and residency. In my situation, it also prevented me from having a nervous breakdown, because I was truly in a jam!
