Book Your Rotorua Accommodation & Take Part in Events in February and March 2011

Most New Zealanders head back to work either mid or late January. It's around this time that a variety of events and activities are on offer throughout many parts of the country.

Unfortunately however, the options for things to do tend to dry up a bit from February onwards, leaving people to their own devices to find things to do during February and March. If you are short of ideas and want to get away somewhere for the weekend that is sure to entertain you, then perhaps you should try Rotorua one of the two biggest tourism spots in New Zealand.

While many towns and cities start to see a drop in visitor numbers and revenue from tourists, the demand for Rotorua accommodation in February and March is just as significant as it is during the first two months of summer.

Rotorua has something for people to do right throughout February and March. If sports, theatre, dance and music are your scene, then you won't need to scratch your head thinking of things to do.

In February 2011 you can head to the Rotorua International Stadium to see the New Zealand Warriors play rugby league. You could also check out the NZ Canoe Sprint Championships, being held on Lake Rotorua. There is also the Rotorua Festival of the Arts running from February 20th to March 10th, which features 11 separate events. These are just another reason to book your Rotorua accommodation for February and March nice and early.

You may also like to check out The Butler, which is an adult's version of Cirque du Soliel. It combines a spectacular circus with intimate comedy theatre. If you are planning on taking the family away, you may like to consider seeing Tower Totus on Tour, which is a new Pinocchio production and classical showpiece. It's a fantastic ballet for both young and old.

If you are looking at heading to Rotorua in March, you've got a few options up your sleeve, including a children and family fun day at the Redwoods Forest. For those that fancy a good walk, there is the Rotorua Walking Festival that runs from March 11 March 20. It's directed at those of all fitness levels and events are held in various park areas throughout Rotorua.

Rotorua accommodation is in great demand in February and March, as well as all other months of the year. I'd be hugely surprised if you fall short of something to do.
