subject: Put Some Soul into your Rift Warrior [print this page] Put Some Soul into your Rift Warrior Put Some Soul into your Rift Warrior
Firstly - we are going to touch base on two types of warrior Souls. The first being - Riftblade.
Riftblade is strange old soul (to coin a phrase) and the main objective of this soul is to dish damage out with magic. While this method will lend itself well to the support criteria, it can also get to work on opponents, banging out some hefty damage orientated spells such as Flamespear.
This makes it a good choice if you're your primary focus is on leveling up, as most of the spells you cast have total disregard for armor. This will help you make light work of any troubles or difficult opponents that stand in the way of you, and your level completion.
The second reason is the variety of blends you can have with other classes. I will touch base on the perfect combinations in later posts, but for now, just keep in mind that you are able to use this as a basis for every primary Warrior build in the future.
The next soul to deal with is Paragon. This is the final DPS-orientated Warrior soul, and is extremely good at its main jobs role - dishing out primary damage. As well as being able to dish the damage out, you can also absorb plenty of range and melee beatings, making it the perfect tankers choice.
I would use this soul for the initial leveling as soon as you hit around 17 or 18 as mentioned in previous posts.
The only downside of this soul is the lack of maneuverability. This makes a good choice for PvE, but the wrong choice for the head to head clashes that you will find in PvP.
This just levees the remaining Warrior souls: reaver, Paladin and Void Knight. All of these have similar function and it seams pointless to try and list them all individually. As I rip this game apart, I will probably find enough differences to justify squeezing each Soul into there own respective posta. But until then, here are the basics.
Plandin is great at singling out your targets, and being very specific as to what and who it deals with. You will also pick up the most migration talents along the way (I make no bones about that) It also gives you many options to extend your threats, skill migration talents, and plenty of other damage migration talents. So all in all, a pretty rounded package.
Reaver make a pretty substantial AoE tanking soul, with the added bonus talents of controlling multiple enemies. This makes an ideal solution for dungeon raids etc, where you need something that can sustain multiple attacks in a confined space and prolonged time.
The void Knight soul is been mentioned in previous guides for having the best tanking magic in its class. The one thing you will miss out on is the migration talent. You can pull this back because as its the best soul for giving the caster breeds a good spanking. This said - Void Knight is still the weakest in its class for my liking.
