"The Slight Edge" - The little things that make a huge difference in business and in life

Is it talent, education, Skills or just plain luck that causes one person to excel in life and another to fail? Does it have anything to do with where they grew up or their childhood? It has everything to do with "The Slight Edge".

All things alike, it comes down to just one thing. Discipline. People who are the most disciplined and who can keep going even when things don't seem like they are going anywhere are the ones who show up in victory lane.

With all of the distractions we have around us in the world today, it is a wonder that any of us get anything done. Between fighting traffic, ringing phones, crying kids, television, itunes, Angry Birds and everything else that pulls us away from our goals, dreams and desires, it is truly a miracle that we are as advanced a society as we are.

A lot of people look at successful people and think that they got lucky, when in reality, when you peel away the layers, they are normal people with an extroidinary work ethic.

The ability to do just one more thing towards one's goals before the close of day, going that one extra mile on your Saturday run and reading just one more paragraph of that book your reading before you go to bed are all examples of discipline. These are all of the things that give someone "The Slight Edge".

I heard it said that if you want to live like most people will never live, you are going to have to do things that most people will never do. As I get older and more in tune with my life and goals, this has become more evident.

In the world of Internet business, there are literally hundreds of thousands of people all trying to compete for business online. What's funny is, there is very little competition. I know that I have not just "The Slight Edge", but a huge edge.

When I attend a webinar or class in which someone is teaching a new form of marketing and there are like 2000 people getting that same information, I know this. Only a handful of people will actually implement what is taught.

Good intentions are still intentions. Intensions don't get things done, they keep people broke and at a stand still. The only thing that matters is ACTION and lots of it.

If you want to be a competitor in the game of life, you have to get on the field and play the game. Way too many are simply in the stands watching the game or better yet, letting others play their game for them.

Go and get yourself "The Slight Edge" - by Jeff Olson and see if it has an impact on your life as it has mine.
