Three decades ago when Uncle Tom drew Pakistan's name in the luck pot, everyone was wondering how come Pakistan's name has been picked up among a list of lucky draw where even neighboring rival was standing out in a crowd- more powerful, and yet more professional in their dealings. Doubt was never teetering out how Pakistan was among the chosen ones', how it managed to make its reputation reputable in the eyes of Uncle Tom. With all sorts of financial aid, Pakistan worked day in and day out to carve Talibans, thereby creating a mini Pakistan, within its territories named Talibanistan. Luck bestowed upon Pakistan every luxury in terms of sacks of cash, direct shipping of Land cruisers (directly imported from Japan). However, no one bothered about the cost poor Pakistan would be paying not only in terms of zombie like maniacs, the byproduct of madrasas in Talibanistan, but which the generations will be paying decades after General Zia's era.

The cost was much higher to claim tens of thousands of lives. Today, Pakistan has washed her hands off the northern areas, from the borders where Uncle Tom every couple of days are busy in blasting off drone attacks, and from which hundreds, if not thousands innocent Pakistanis suffer once every few weeks.
Many perceive Davis as the first symbol of open back down to Uncle Tom and why the symbol must not be underscored? What if thousands of Pakistanis' appeal remains unable to make their way to extinguish the anger over Aafia Siddiqui's trial? There are issues that matter more than the malice an average Pakistani holds towards the US, and that of course is not only because of the fact that Uncle Tom is now threatening Pakistan to halt its leftover debris, that goes more into the pockets of our corrupt politicians than onto the welfare of countrymen. There are issues more significant than that, one that bothers over the squabbles between the CIA and ISI and that has lead us to this day where our ISI claims nothing could appease them more than the handing of Davis to the death gallows.
Raymond Davis, to whom many claimed to have offshoot from Blackwaters, is still the epicenter of the negotiation that now appears to have brought Pakistan to the negotiating table. Negotiation, to which Pakistan has always remain good at, be it late General Zia-ul-haq's era, or the contemporary era where cronyism in tandem with open corruption runs deeper and more influential than deeming justice, and why it shouldn't? When being an American is valued more than a Pakistani, when being Raymond Davis is valued more than being Aafia Sidiqui. This does not mean the privilege of being Pakistani-American should matter more than what privilege is assigned to American-American. US never have negotiated on Siddiqui, not in terms of granting justice, let alone the financial negotiation.
Anything lesser than a fair trial is unacceptable for Davis, and despite the fact that his hands are bloodstained, anything lesser than the gallows or life sentence would certainly mean the deal has been negotiated, just like it mean once again Pakistan has won the jack pot, similar to the one, won in the reign of late General Zia, however this time the blessings would be directly heeded into the big pockets!
