Knowing human nature can actually play a part in how successful you are in your network marketing business! It includes what attracts people to others, why people say yes or no to something and why most people do not succeed in MLM. I have actually observed human nature working as I expand my Network marketing business.
For instance did you know that most people cannot say "no"? They have the hardest time telling you flat out that they are not interested in your business. Not knowing this when I first started, it made things challenging for me at the beginning of my MLM career because I didn't understand when someone wouldn't return my phone calls. I didn't "get it", when a potential associate would keep cancelling and rescheduling meetings or would say they wanted to join and they would call me in a few days only they wouldn't. We have all gone through it!
You need to recognize when someone is saying no early on so that you can move on to someone who is interested in what you have to offer them. I wasted more time with people who just couldn't say no and if you can learn this one quickly it is one less time waster you have to deal with!
People, in general, have hopes and dreams but it is human nature that most of them are not doers. It is exciting when you first start enrolling people into your network marketing business because it seems that they all have high expectations and they are ready to begin. About two weeks into their new venture they have their first bout with rejection and they get very frustrated. Many will quit right there because they don't like how rejection felt. Some will go on for a few more months, not doing anything to grow their business and then blame the company or the industry for their network marketing business failing. There are a very few, however that are just like you. They have the drive, the persistence and the confidence to learn how to do things the right way. They never give up or blame others for their failures. They actually succeed.
Again, here is where you need to recognize when someone is a hoper or they are a doer. A doer, is resourceful, they ask a lot of questions to figure out how to do things correctly, when they have a bad day and then they get right back up and try again. You don't hear too much from someone who just hopes for things. They are sometimes un-coachable and won't take your advice because they find the things you are suggesting to them uncomfortable like talking on the phone to prospects. A doer, will keep working hard until they begin enrolling people, even if the first one hundred didn't yield even one sale! The hoper gives up after the first few people they talk to don't join their business and you can end up wasting your time with them. My advice is for you to spend more time with the doers! This will help you expand your network marketing business.
Finally, what is it that attracts people to your business? The answer is the leadership qualities that you project to others! People are attracted to others who are leaders. That is, they are confident, they are take charge types of people, they are valuable to others because of their knowledge or status and they are the types of people that others want to duplicate. The high income earners in MLM are all leaders. They attract people easily because of their success and what they can do for others. To expand your network marketing business, learn to be a leader and others will be attracted to you and your business opportunity.
Human Nature is so important when you are trying to grow your network marketing business. Begin to observe the things I just discussed because they are so true and when you realize it, you can stop wasting your valuable time with those who can't say no and those who are only hopers. In addition when you step up as a leader your value will skyrocket and you will quickly see others trying to duplicate your success by joining you in your business!
