The chosen location

What once used to be considered as a quiet fishing village has now turned into a popular alternative to the big city life of London. Brighton is also a chosen location for those who just want to get away from it all and enjoy an ocean atmosphere. Considered as a seaside resort of sorts, many venture to this part of England to vacation, or simply as an opportunity to escape from the day to day responsibilities of their daily lives. Londoners can get to Brighton as simple as either driving with your own automobile or, the National Express, (roughly two hours) which provides a reliable coach service between the two cities. If you are flying in from parts unknown, (international or otherwise) you would probably disembark at Gatwick where a wide variety of international airlines can be accessed.

Most Brighton hotels are situated close to many of the attractions, so although transportation is very reliable, you may not need it. One of the first sights on your agenda should be the Brighton Pier, where everything is a thrill, whether it's the rides, the candy or a host of other foods. Another "must-see" is the Royal Pavilion where you can appreciate some of the best architecture that history has to offer. Although you should expect a wide variety of seafood restaurants in Brighton, there are many other menus to choose from. For instance Italian, British and comfort food are among the most popular with a reasonable assortment of vegetarian and vegan eating establishments. Other choices include Japanese, healthy alternatives and your local Patisserie where coffee tea and pastry can cover your afternoon tea time.

While many Brighton hotels offer dining and other forms of entertainment, if you are interested in getting out and seeing the town, you are in the right place. After a tasty dinner, there is nothing better to start the evening off than English comedy at the Komedia Theatre, where all sorts of entertaining acts await you. If the club scene is your thing, check out Audio, where live and recorded music will nudge you into a great evening. There are many locations in Brighton to exercise your right to shop, however, none probably compare to the Brighton marina. Here you will find something for "almost" anyone you plan on shopping for. The bargains are plentiful and you can enjoy the beauty of the waterfront as you dive in and out of a variety of stores.
