Landmark Education's flagship course Landmark Forum is a rage. It has taken the world by storm and understandably so. It has transformed the lives of many including mine. I took up the course at a young age. I took it up while I was still in school. I did the course at the behest of someone I really respected. I had complete faith in him. However, I had no idea about what I would get out of the course. Before I did the course, my thoughts only revolved around myself my life, my needs, my goals, etc. After I finished the course, I understood the importance of connecting with others. I learnt about the importance of making a difference.
I would like to dispel a few myths and notions about Landmark Forum. It is not to be mistaken for boring, preachy lectures. It is no therapy or self-help session. Landmark Forum is a real and practical learning experience that empowers people to live the life of their dreams. It empowers people to realize their full potential. It is not remotely religious, sermonish or preachy. It is my personal opinion that Landmark Education courses are philosophical in nature. They are authentic and realistic to say the least. Participants are encouraged to share their thoughts and feelings.
Simply put, Landmark Education creates an atmosphere of authenticity combined with the notion that anything is possible. It inspires you, motivates you and empowers you to think big. It is held in a workshop setting with hundreds of people in the room. The course leader presents various ideas and empowers people to implement those ideas in their lives. One of the fundamental ideas of the course is that anything is possible. Remember, as kids, we were confidently convinced that we could become anything we wanted. However, once we grew up, our outlook to life changed dramatically. We believed we were incompetent, we doubted our potential, we thought the government was corrupt, etc. Landmark Forum empowers you to let go off such self limiting beliefs.
In a nutshell, Landmark Forum helps you change your outlook to life. It helps you tap into your true potential. I have experienced it firsthand. I would like to explain this with an example. I was working with a company which I thought was corrupt. I was majorly disgruntled with my job. I thought I wasn't paid well and my boss was unreasonable and demanding. How would I ever be happy in a situation like this! Landmark empowered me to change my outlook to my job. I started to let go off negative thoughts. I started to think highly about my boss, my company and my colleagues. It made a world of difference to my life. According to Landmark, human behavior is largely driven by quite a few things the need to be right or prove others wrong, the need to justify, look good, please others, etc.
I also experienced a dramatic improvement in my relationships. My rapport with my father improved drastically. I let go of the resentment I had been carrying around for ages. Landmark Education helped me get relieved from the baggage I'd been fiercely clinging to. I had a heartfelt conversation with my father that made me feel relieved and relaxed. Post Landmark, my relationship with all my family members improved dramatically. I am happier, peaceful and relaxed. I attribute my new-found happiness and peace of mind to Landmark Forum. From a bitter, cynical and dissatisfied whiner to a happier, positive and satisfied soul, I have come a long way!
My outlook to life has become incredibly positive. I have stopped indulging in petty, defeatist thoughts. I think highly of everyone around me. I don't try to change or control people or things around me. I have started to accept people the way they are. It has reduced a great deal of stress and anxiety that I used to experience. I am more focused and in control of my life. I have stopped sulking, cribbing and complaining. I am at peace with my life. I have developed a habit of relaxing my mind, body and soul. I think happy thoughts. I don't waste time worrying about things that I have absolutely no control over. This life changing transformation wouldn't have been possible without attending Landmark Forum. To say that it has given me a new lease of life would be an understatement. I am in a state of complete freedom, bliss and power.
