Therefore the car market took a huge boost when it was revealed that Mercedes was revealed as the UKs number one superbrand. The survey conducted by the Centre for Brand Analysis asked 2,000 UK consumers to review, assess, and rank their favorite brands. They were given guidelines telling them how to rank various brand factors such as quality, reliability and distinction of each brand symbol. The biggest shock in the results was that for the first time Microsoft and internet giant Google did not top the list.
In reality Mercedes Benz always performs well in brand surveys, however to topple the mega brands in Microsoft and Google really is a bold step. But why has this brand jumped so quickly, its not become clear as yet however in these tough times people may be swaying towards reliability and the sturdy engineering of the German made car.

Further good news for the car industry was that BMW and Jaguar both fared well finishing seventh and tenth respectively. Again these results are driven by reliability and in Jaguar case a new found style seen in the XF and XJ models.
This is great news for a car industry that was hit so hard after the recession. Many car manufacturers such as major player GMC needed Government help to survive the downturn. This shows that when a company sticks to its principles and provides a great product that people can rely on and enjoy the consumer will follow them.
So it will be interesting to see what the car industry does off the back of these excellent results. We hope this spurs not only Mercedes but other car manufacturers to produce new bold vehicles that push the technology used in our transport methods.
