The HTC Salsa is one of them and it will be a touch screen phone that will be providing excellent social networking support. The phone will resemble the HTC Desire in terms of styling. It is a good thing because the HTC Desire is currently one of the hottest phones currently in the market mainly because of its styling. The phone will be bearing a resemblance to the phone in every single way up from the social networking support.
Even though this was a good option in the HTC Desire, it is nowhere near the HTC Salsa when it comes to the social networking support. This is because the new phone will be having a dedicated button in order to access the Facebook application, one of the most popular social networking sites of all. The phone will be having the same 3.7 inch touch screen display that was seen in the HTC Desire, but it will be capable of supporting the Facebook application in the best possible manner due to the employment of a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It will also be coming with the HTC Sense user interface. The technology that is going to be used in the display of the HTC Desire will be a capacitive one and also the Super LCD technology. While the capacitive display technology can be used for introducing the multiple touch recognition facility in the phone, the Super LCD display technology will be used to give the phone's screen its colour reproduction and brightness levels.
The screen will also be coming with the accelerometer and proximity sensor that will help it in functioning in a better way. The five megapixel camera in the phone can be used for high end photography due to the presence of features like the LED flash and autofocus options. The secondary camera in the HTC Salsa will be capable of VGA video recording, which will be used for video conferencing using the 3G connectivity option. There is also the Wi-Fi connectivity option in the phone. It will be running the Android 2.4 OS by default. It is going to be done using the 600 MHz processor that is more than capable of delivering the power for this operating system along with the other applications that are going to be installed in the phone. Even though the phone has a pretty powerful processor, it will be still capable of delivering excellent talk times and standby times. This is due to the usage of the battery that is rated at 1450 mAh as opposed to the 1200 mAh battery that is found in other phones in this segment. The HTC Salsa will be released in the United Kingdom by June.
