Winter Park, FL used car owners gear up for plug-in demos

The time for fuel efficiency has come, and the auto industry has answered the call. The role of technology has become a crucial part of how auto brands are approaching the industry, and technology across the board is progressing exponentially. Winter Park Toyota FJ Cruiser dealers are seeing a huge push into the electric car market as the hybrid phase of driving begins to fizzle out in lieu of more important technologies that are sure to push efficiency to the next level. Leading the pack we see both Nissan and Chevy, pushing the launches of the Leaf and the Volt respectively this year to make landmark progressions into the electric driving field. While we don't have any way to gage the success of these electric models yet, the end of the year should give us a better idea of how quickly consumers will take to the new driving standard. But the brand that led the charge into fuel efficiency, Toyota, has yet to push an electric vehicle to market. We knew all along they had something in the works, and it looks like the company will soon be launching a Prius plug-in that will take advantage of electric driving and the already established Prius name a great starting point for Winter Park, FL used cars dealers everywhere.

To prepare for what the company expects to be a next-year launch, they've put together a demonstration program that will lend plug-in Prius models to New York government transportation agencies. Winter Park Toyota FJ Cruiser owners are obviously jealous that they won't be able to take part in the program, but they sit tight in the hopes that they'll be seeing one of these vehicles in the near future. According to the recent press release, "In preparation for commercial launch in 2012, more than 160 Prius Plug-in Hybrid vehicles are being delivered to demonstration program partners across the U.S., as part of a global demonstration of more than 600 vehicles. The Prius Plug-in Hybrid vehicle can be fully charged in approximately three hours from a standard 110-volt electrical outlet, or in 90 minutes with a 220-volt connection. A fully charged Prius Plug-in Hybrid vehicle is capable of running on electricity for approximately 13 miles at speeds of up to 62 mph. For longer distances, the PHV reverts to its hybrid mode, operating as a regular Prius." This is great news for Winter Park FL used cars, who will be taking part in an epic revolution that will reverberate throughout the entire auto industry.

Will the plug-in version of the Prius be able to ride the wave of the Prius brand into driver's hearts? Will new recalls by Toyota be able to derail the company for good? Winter Park Toyota FJ Cruiser owners know one thing at least: that they have a great driving experience. Same for people who own Winter Park FL used cars, which represent some of the best cars on the road. In the end, we're just going to have to wait and see how 2011 plays out.
