Obesity is it the silent killer
Obesity is it the silent killer

There are several hundreds of thousands of people that are overweight and may even be obese and don't even realize that obesity is a serious condition. One of the biggest problems with being obese is that people don't see obesity as a problem they have been so accustom to the way their life has become and the way it is that they over look the potential hazards they could be facing with their weight condition.

Most people relies that they are not like others in the aspect of their weight condition and may even avoid talking about it, facing it or even taking responsibility for it. Unfortunately it takes an outsider to bring it to their attention or to go as far as confronting them. Most times the one to confront them is their own doctor, friends or family members.

The reason it takes an outsider to confront that person is because this condition may have gone on for so long that the changes they have had to make in their lives they are so accustom to it has become part of their life and at this point they don't even think anything about it. After a while the person that is obese is in a state of denial or so ashamed of their situation they have pushed loved out away and basically isolated themselves from the people around them and will also avoid situations where they may be faced with a confrontation about their obesity condition.

Now what most people don't seem to understand is after being obese for a while it starts to cause serious health and medical conditions that make obesity a silent killer. Some of the medical condition range from chronic knee pain, back pain, stomach and digestive problems, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and there are many others that I could mention just to say the least. Now after suffering some of these medical conditions it does massive damage to the body. Now some of these medical conditions can be fixed but there are some of them that if ignored or left unattended they will do catastrophic damage or even death.

As you can see is that obesity is a silent killer and does massive damage to the body if this condition goes on long enough.

What a lot of people don't relies is that obesity can also be a mental condition as well because mentally the way people see their lives is as being normal because that's what they have been accustom to for months or even years in some cases. That's why when obese people try to lose the weight not only is it a physical situation but it is also a mental struggle as well and that's what makes it such an uphill battle for most people.

Taking into consideration all of the things I have mentioned in this article it is plain to see why obesity can be the silent killer. Every one of the systems will creep up on you and before you know it you are faced with a life threatening situation and before you know it you have to change everything about your life and that's what makes it so difficult.
