Bio-Mechanic Parameters of the Diagonal or Trotted March

Do you know what type of locomotion have your horse when he is on movement very closed of the classic trot?

Performing a classic trot your horse locomotion diagram should present one complete suspension of the hooves twice during a complete stride. Both suspension of a complete trot exist between each diagonal stance.

Let's see what means, for instance,a complete trot diagram.

Discussion:

The classical trot has a complete suspension between each diagonal stance. But, the bio-mechanic parameters of a Pure blood Lusitano horse, measured by a non invasive process, using the Analoc-E show:

1 - The diagonal stance time is above 90% of the stride time and the locomotion diagram is like a trotted march.

2 - The diapason is the biomechanical parameter which depends on the stance/phase ratio timing is around 1.0.

3 - Some other stance types should not appear on the trot if the diagonal dissociation parameter would be zero (0), which means diagonal synchronized stance. But, it is not the common situation. Most of the gait analysis of a trot show diagonal stance not synchronized. Then, some stance types as mono (mainly) can appear during a complete stride.
