I have to make a confession. I only started making good money online a couple years ago. I've been struggling my first couple years until I've found the right strategy. I've spent a lot of money on various reports, systems and tools and I've also spent a lot of time, ending up losing more than I was winning.
I've tried everything from PPC (Pay Per Click), flipping websites, organic search strategies, affiliate marketing, MLM, Amazon Associates, video marketing, social media, Twitter bombs, Facebook ads - anything you could think and anything that is available out there, I've tried it.
So what happened? What changed a couple years ago that lead me to profit? I wish I had realized this over 4 years ago, but it took all this trial and error to get to a very simple conclusion - the one vital thing you need as an Internet marketer is having a Internet marketing system in place.
What does this mean for me and for you? It means that you will never make money if you have to keep switching strategies and go from product to product hunting for new customers. The truth is that I've probably had more than a thousand opt ins my first two years, but the big problem is that I've sold once and then lost that person!
So what is the key to selling again and again to the same people? And the answer and great solution is building a list. Each person which buys a product, but whose email you haven't captured is probably the equivalent of several hundreds of dollars lost.
From all the tools I have ever bought the only one which truly makes a difference is the lead capture page. Several months ago I've decided to try it out and installed it on my websites. I first thought I will probably only get one or two email addresses every day. But guess what? In less than a week I already had a list of 200 people. In a month I had reached 1000! It has now been 2 years and the list keeps growing at a constant rate.
I don't have to deal with getting my page ranks up, link building and wasting days trying to rank higher on Google. I don't spend any money on ads and I don't have to build any new websites. All I have to do these days is send valuable info to my list. Every now and then I send them a freebie. Whether it's some free tool, some PLR ebook, or just some info I want to share with them, all I do is build my relationship with the ever growing list of customers and subscribers. This is the only Internet marketing system you will ever need to put in place - building that list.
If you're like me, you probably think that you will never capture enough emails, but I couldn't be more wrong. If you have the right tools and focus on this simple task, not only will you start to free up your time, but soon you will be able to send emails to more people than you've ever imagined.
