Different Ways to Celebrate Your Birthday

Are you looking for a new and different way to celebrate your Birthday this year? Whatever activity you choose, it should be as fun and exciting as you are! Remember, birthdays are best when shared with friends and family doing something you love. So don't' worry if you celebrate a day or two before or after your actual "birth date." Keep that in mind when you read this list of 10 different ways to celebrate your special day!

Meet A Celebrity! If you're an avid book reader, call your local bookstore and find out when the next Author Signing event is and make that the activity for the party. Check your neighborhood newspaper for other opportunities to meet local celebrities.

Take Me to the Game! If you have a college or pro team in your town, find out when their next open practice or home game is and have everyone go to the game. Or if a local high school has a great team, go to their game. It will be fun to reminisce about your high school days!

Wine Tasting Party: Many good liquor stores offer wine tasting parties for small groups. There may even be a Wine and Food Pairing event at a local restaurant.

Let's Scrapbook! This hobby is so popular now and is really fun. Have everyone at the party make a page about their favorite activity with you. Put all the pages together for a fabulous scrap book you'll really treasure.

Mani & Pedi Party: Manicures and/ or pedicures for you and your guests... what a great way for the girls to unwind and enjoy a little pampering too!

View The Works of the Masters! Most metropolitan museums offer audio tape tours of their galleries. Take the tour and then head to a nearby restaurant to discuss what you saw.

A Matinee at the Theater: Enjoy your afternoon off by having a special meal, then attend the matinee at your local theater - be it a live play or even a movie

Pretend You Are A Tourist in Your Own Town! Make a list of several places you'd take your out-of-town guests, and go visit these sites with your friends. Make sure you include a famous eating place and maybe even a little shopping.

Take A Ride! Be it on a bicycle, motorcycle, or motor coach, load up and head out. It would be fun to add a walking tour through a local park, botanical garden or nature preserve too.

Help Support Your Favorite Charity: In lieu of gifts, ask your guests to bring something to donate in your honor. It could be gently used clothing, household items, canned goods or whatever your group needs.

I hope these suggestions give you an idea as to how you can celebrate your Birthday this year in a ery different... but fun and exciting... way!
