We are an organisation set up to help and adopt dogs in Spain primarilyGalgos whichare aSpanish breed of the English Grey Hound, used by the Spanish hunters, farmers & gypsies for the sole purpose of hunting.
They have a useful shelf life to these groups of just two years and are then abandoned in extremely cruel circumstances. One of the dogs who we named Romero lost his leg after being left in a snare. Others are taken to a 'Killing Station' where the dogs are inhumanly destroyed.
The dogs need special attention when they are found or rescued in ver poor conditions, often losing limbs, one poor dog came in with a smashed jaw inflicted from a kick by his owner.
We support a local dogsanctuary set up by a lady named Gaynor whose sole aim was to help and adopt dogs in Spain. She take the dogs from various killing stations & hunters, they come to her in terrible conditions and with the help of her husband she settles the dogs in, feeds them up and ensures that they get plenty of love & care ready to eventually move on to their 'forever homes' which could be anywhere in the world from America, Germany, England etc no place is too far if its the right home!
We have been able to supply beds, bedding, food and other items to help the dogs at the sanctuary.
Prior to any of the dogs being allowed to travel they all get checked over by a local vet, they are given all their jabs, a female will be spayed and a male will be castrated, once this has all been done their travel documents (Dog passport) are applied for once their forever home has been finalised.
