The Key Suggestions In Achieving Your Goals

It's important in the outset that you specify an objective, and by which when you intend to achieve it. Not only is it important to achieve this, and you must also break this 'main' goal, into little sub goals which let you achieve the absolute goal.

To give an example, last year I set an objective (which I've now attained) to shed a stone in weight in a couple of months. Here you will notice that I've set the main goal, together with specifying a deadline. Setting a deadline for when you'd like to attain the goal is extremely important, as this will make it more real to you, and you're more likely to give your very best in achieving it, in contrast to should you specify no deadline at all. However, this isn't the only important aspect, as I then had to specify sub goals which would altogether result in the achievement of my absolute goal that was to shed a stone in weight. The sub goals I set were to exercise for not less than thirty minutes 5 times each week, to drink at least 4 litres of water each day and to stay away from unhealthy foods (take away foods, biscuits, cakes etc) altogether. As can be seen, these sub goals, are health-related, so when combined, will definitely put me on the right track, and actually be a catalyst for me achieving my definitive goal that was to lose a stone in weight in two months.

This is simply one demonstration of how I've set a goal within my life and achieved it using this method, but it can, and really should be applied when planning to set any goal what so ever inside your own life. For example, if you desired to pass a test inside the next two months, this is the definitive goal, however the sub goals could be to read and comprehend a certain amount of pages everyday that would help you complete the study book, and to maybe complete one practise paper per week.

When setting goals it's crucial that you write them down and focus on them often throughout the day. I refer to my goals as soon as I wake up in the morning, and many times during the day, with me even placing them at my bedside, to ensure that I can read them again just before sleeping. The simplest way I've found to refer to them often throughout the day is to print many copies of them. I'll stick a copy on the fridge which can be viewed when I'm in the kitchen, I'll stick a copy above my monitor so i can look at it when at the PC, and I'll carry around a copy in my wallet, in order that I can refer to it whenever I visit the toilet, as I always have my wallet in the pants I'm wearing.

Thank you for reading this article, and I hope it might assist you in achieving the goals in life you strive for.
