Hasan Yahya, Ph.Ds, the Dean of Arab Writers in North America
In this article, I like to share some projections for actions I recommend to both Revolutionary systems of Tunis, Egypt and Libya (in a few Days) , as well as non-revolutionary governments in other Arab countries, Royal Saudi Arabia and Gulf states are not excluded. These recommendations are:
- Any revolution changes not only faces but systems and subsystems, no revolution was completely successful by leaving the fire under ashes. In both Tunisia and Egypt, there are ministers, the heads of the states, and most powerful wealthy persons still free and may let the fire out of the aches. I mean Husni Mubarak with some powerful previously corrupted persons in Sharm al-Sheikh.
- What was rebelled against is the Urgency Military Law, it should be cancelled immediately.
- The Prime Minister and his cabinet, under question. Where the same old practices and regulations take place. What I recommend is a non-military (civil) cabinet from skillful and specialized persons in economy, law, legislations, manufacturing, engineering, young practical persons to lead the country in its serious march toward renovation of laws, constitution, building parties under freedom principles rather than traditionally established parties.
- In terms of presidency, there should be temporary council for presidency to oversee the Cabinet members in their work to function accurately and adequately to satisfy the goals of the revolution. Such council may be selected or elected between three to seven council members to work as the hock eye over to be sure of the functions of ministers in the transferring period of six months, to two years period. The council members may be all but one civilians with no ideological backgrounds or party membership, and their ages should include young revolutionary people.
When these recommendations are taken, the Revolution goals will be safe. The martyrs families will be satisfied. The corrupted and criminal persons are accountable for their crimes and will pay for their crimes according to the law, the resources of Egypt will be kept in tact and recovered completely. Then the ship of freedom will go through the terrible waves and winds, safely and securely. In that time only, we may say: the revolutions in the Arab countries are fruitful and successful. (392 words) www.askdryahya.com
