This episode gets off to a hot and steamy start with Stefan and Elena making out, finally! Meanwhile Damon is downstairs choking Katherine, or so he thinkswhen she claims to be Elena. Turns out that Katherine is getting good at tricking both of the Salvatore brothers into believing that she is Elena.
Trying to retrieve the dagger Damon decides to torch Elijah's body only to find out that he's indestructible. Go figure.
Stefan wants to get the Martin witches on their side so he arranges a meeting at the Grill to discuss killing Klaus together. They want their daughter/sister backwill they agree?
Trying to bring Elijah back to life the Martin witches do a spell to combine powers and transports an invisible Luca into Stefan and Damon's house. Luca thinks that Elena and Damon are reading but its Katherine and Damon. Katherine senses Luca and ends up catching him trying to remove the dagger from Klaus. Luca releases dagger to find a stake and kill Katherine all while invisible. He stabs Katherine just as Damon shows up and torches him to death preventing him from pulling the dagger from Elijah.
Elena, Caroline, Bonnie and Jenna decide to have a girls night out and head over to the Grill where Caroline end up getting on stage to tell the whole room how she feels about Matt. Matt joins her on stage and they share a fabulous smooch! Woohoo! Go Caroline!
K reveals to Damon that that John offered her a deal; she could stay and help with Klaus or he would kill Stefan. She reveals that she chose to save Stephen over Damon. Poor Damon always gets picked last.
Elena has given the ok for Bonnie and Jeremy to officially become an item. We shall see where that leads.
Jonas shows up at the grill looking for Elena when Bonnie spots him. Caroline jumps on Jonas and he screws with her head using a spell. Matt tries to rescue her when Jonas stabs him in the neck with a bottle! Caroline makes the decision to give him her blood.
Everyone ends up at Elena's house after the incident at the grill only to find that it's not over. Jonas catches Katherine in the bathroom thinking its Elena. When he tried to attack Katherine she killed him, or so we thinkHe jumps up and does something to Bonnie.
Katherine reiterates once again that she is not a threat to Elena as long as Klaus is alive.
Rick tells Jenna that he loves her but there are things that he won't be able to tell her. She doesn't take it well and send him on his way. Jeremy and Bonnie kiss and she reveals that she has her powers back and something else; when Jonas gave her powers back he revealed that he wants her to kill Klaus and showed her how
Katherine comes on to Damon and he turns her down. Big surprise
Matt wakes up all healed and remembers that he drank Caroline's blood. She reveals that she is a vampire and he doesn't take it well. He remembers that Vicki talked about vamps and freaks out on Caroline.
All is calm and Elena and Jenna are having ice cream when the doorbell rings to reveal none other than Isabel (Elena's mom and Alaric's wife who's supposedly dead Can you say cliff hanger?
