Jaguar to Unveil its fastest ever production car .
The car maker who has just passed its 75th year in business is set to push its own boundaries and release the new super quick production car ahead of the Geneva Motor Show. In 2010 Mike O'Driscoll said that the ethos of Jaguar was to build cars that celebrate the art of automobile making. The new model XKR-S will be fitted with an updated version of the supercharged V8 engine which produces a massive 542bhp and 502lb of peak torque. This a serious advance to the Jaguar catalogue and will have the diehard Jaguar fans salivating.
It has been reported that this newly tuned engine will push the 0-60 mile per hour time to 4.2 seconds which is nearly half a whole second faster than the previous design. When you also think that this is 10% reduction on time the power increase is phenomenal. Top speed will be around 186 mph which is awesome for a production car.
After quoting the above numbers it's quite clear that Jaguar are looking to make a bold statement with this car, just older than 75 years old and still pushing the boundaries of what is already a new fresh fleet of cars.
