"No"! The two letter word that every child quickly learns. "No don't touch! No don't do that! No put that down"! After being told,"no" repeatedly, they catch on to its effects. We learn early that there's power in words.The same holds true not only in everyday conversation but in our goals, our decision making, and in our achievements.
I believe our success is dependent upon what we say. When we speak about our goals and aspirations,we canunknowingly set our expectations.Using the words can't, won't, or anything associated with uncertainty not only can display a lack of confidence in one's ability to achieve a goal, but it can also hinder the hope of seeing our goals come to pass. It takespositivity, enthusiasm and confidence in our words to create a type of momentum in our thoughts and actions in order to see our goals fully achieved.
The difference between having a goal and living your goal is all in what we say and do. Our words must be a reflection of our actions and vice versa. One of my business goals is to be as successful as possible; therefore a few of my actions would be an eagerness to learn,to be a team player, encourage others along the way and to lead by example. Without doing any of these things, I probably wouldn't be as successful as I'd hoped.
We decided on a day to day basis how we are going to live by our words. We should look at our dreams and aspirations and say,"I may not be where I want to be right now, but I know I'm closer than I was yesterday." We all can accomplish our goals in life. It's the decision to speak and live as if our goals have been achieved that helps make them reality.
When addressing our goals we should always look at them with hope and possibility.We should speak about them with anticipation and expectancy, because what we say turns into action. Our words can either propel us toward or away from our goals, it just a matter of choosing what we say.
