Forest plays an important role in our enviornment.in our hilly areas Because of steep, rough road, trailers over 18 feet are not allowed. But, motorhomes are not officially limited. In any case, parking aprons are very small. RVs of any size are not recommended in the hilly campground. This campground came on line after the author's visit to the Green Mountain National Forest. All information is provided by the Manchester Ranger District Office. This rustic campground stretches along Greendale Brook with campsites tucked in a pleasant variety of mature hardwood trees. These trees make this undiscovered campground a nice place for a colorful fall camping experience. Greendale Brook can be heard from most of the campsites. This is a small and quaint campground with sites along a dead end road; it is best suited for campers in pop-up trailers, pickups, or cars. Due to the increased incidents of invasive insects and diseases, no out-of-state firewood may be used in the Forest. Campers are welcomed to collect dead and down wood throughout the Forest, however.
WATER SPORTS Wading is possible in Greendale Brook. HIKING There are no designated trails but the area's former logging roads, as well as cross-country and snowmobile trails, are available. FISHING Brown and Rainbow trout
Lake Ste Kathryn Campground is located 8 miles south of Sidnaw on the Kenton Ranger District. This one loop campground provides 24 drive-in camping sites that can accommodate tents, trailers and motor homes. Each site is naturally screened with vegetation and offers a wood table, fire ring, latern post, and parking spur. Three sets of toilets and two hand pumps for drinking water are located in the campground. The Deer Marsh Interpretative Trail is located at the Campgrounds east entrance. A Boat Ramp and parking area is located adjacent to the campground. You will also find a small beach and picnic area near site #13.
