Remove scanpst error to recover PST files

Scanpst is a program which is automatically installed with Microsoft Outlook. This is termed as Inbox repair tool and available as scanpst.exe in the disk. It is used to repair the corrupted .pst files. Outlook items like e-mail, contacts, calendar events, journals, notes etc are stored in PST file. Scanpst.exe scans all pst file directory structure and identify the errors. After identification of error it shows the errors on screen and instructs you to repair the PST files. Sometime the errors are so serious that cannot be handled by scanpst.exe. Whenever you try to recover the pst files using scanpst.exe, you may receive any of the following error messages :

"The Inbox Repair Tool does not recognize the file .pst. No information can be recovered"

" Internal errors were found in this file. They must be repaired for this file to work correctly"

"The procedure entry point DDLUninitinstance@0 could not be located in the dynamic link library MSMAPI32.dll"

As the result no repairing operation can be performed on PST file and even you will not be able to access the PST file.

Causes of the errors:

Scanpst.exe may have gone damaged or corrupted

Scanpst.exe is being tried to access from incorrect location.

There is incompatible version of existing MSMAPI32.dll file

Virus may have attacked on the computer

PST file may be shared over the network

Reaching oversize of the PST file

Corrupted or bad file system

Resolution:

When scanpst.exe utility fails to correct the corrupted PST files then there is no other way to resolve the problem except using third party scanpst error removal software. The software will certainly recover the corrupted or oversized PST files and thus you will be able to access all data items of Outlook. The software is non-destructive i.e. the PST files and the data it contain will be recovered intact.
