Put a value on information. Buy books. If you want an outcome you have never had before, read something you have never read before Acquire some Knowledge, increase your information.
Solomon, the wise king, said, "Buy the truth, and do not sell it". Buy books and read them. Your success in life is tied to your thinking. If you do not have time to think, you do not have time to succeed.
Increase the quality of your thoughts. Your challenges are not unique; somebody experienced same fifty years ago and wrote a book containing the solution. Why should you now go through the same stress? Experience is the best teacher, as long it is not your own experience.
You do not have enough time in your life to go through all the problems other people have gone through before. Take a short cut. Accelerate your own journey. Start from where they stopped. Read their books.
"To be informed is to be transformed and to be uniformed is to be deformed" Dr David Oyedepo. It therefore implies that information is the knowledge that forms you internally. It is your information that determines your out-formation. As he thinks in his heart, so is he.
Before information will affect your circumstances, it will first affect your thinking. That is why you will be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
EDUCATION
Education is about formation. Education simply means training your mind or inner faculties. It means to bring forth from within or to draw out. So education trains and transforms you inside, and empower you to design solutions for the problems that you meet in real life.
Education reconstructs you. It changes your capacity from the inside. It is the information that determines your out-formation.
The two components of education
There is formal education, a vital part of the process of our transformation which we should take seriously. The goal of education is not just to informs, it is formation. When you make people to cram and write examinations, all you have done is to inform them.
But when you train them to be able to use their minds to create, produce and design solutions to life's situation, then they are educated. Many are literate but not educated. They have gone through the University but they cannot design any products or services with which to handle their circumstances.
The other from of education is informal, which includes self education. It involves reading other than for examination. Education is not supposed to make you Myopic; it is supposed to expand your horizon and help you think. Many stop reading the day they write their last examination in school. Of course, the implication is that they stop growing in knowledge "A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel".
