Battling Cervical Cancer with Green Tea Based on Scientific Studies

A chemical in Green Tea has been shown to fight cervical cancer.

According to the research at the Capital Medical University in Beijing, scientists have found that epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), a compound found abundantly in green tea, is able to kill cervical cancer cells and prevent them from forming. The authors of the study state that EGCG "has shown its anti-tumor ability and perhaps as potential regimen for cancer patients." 2 Another report, "Protective effects of green tea extracts (polyphenon E and EGCG) on human cervical lesions" by Ahn, W-S et.al, the authors suggest that green tea extracts (polyphenon E and EGCG) with anti-cancer properties might be an effective chemopreventive option for preventing cervical dysplasia from progressing to a more severe stage of cervical neoplasia. 3

People may be thinking of buying green tea, but it should be noted that EGCG changes into another form when heated, so "it is considered inappropriate to infuse green tea or its extracts with overheated water" 4 and "steeping tea too hot may cause it to lose its health properties." 5 It is suggested that it is best to take green tea or its extracts through health supplements.

Gene-Eden, a health supplement, provides the effective form of EGCG. Dr. Hanan Polansky developed Gene-Eden due to his discovery that the DNA of latent viruses was the cause of cervical cancer. The effectiveness of EGCG against Cervical cancer is attributable to its antiviral properties. Gene-Eden is more powerful than EGCG alone for it possesses four other antiviral components namely Quercetin, Licorice Extract, Cinnamon Extract, and Selenium. It has been shown in many studies that the antiviral effects of the other ingredients are said to be effective against cancer-causing viruses. According to the original authors of the study, "Our results suggested that EGCG may be suitable for prevention and treatment of cervical cancer." 2 If you are pleased with these results and have worries about cervical cancer, Gene-Eden is for you.
