Is That Minoxidil Induced Bald Spot Getting You Down?

For both men and women the shocking realization that a bald spot is

appearing can be quite unsettling. But when the bald spot may have been induced

by one of the very popular, and highly regarded, products for hair re-growth

things can turn from unsettling to downright depressing.

If you are reading this and thought you were alone the truth of the matter is you are not. While there are no solid statistics to support how many people this has happening to we know of at least two; you and I. That said, I suspect the number of people impacted could be quite high.

I wonder if your story is like mine with things going along just fine

and new hair growth progressing as planned when all of the sudden your scalp

started to become very sensitive to the minoxidil infused treatment you were

using. Then the unthinkable happened, not only did you lose the new hair you

had paid so dearly to re-grow but now you balding looks to be worse than it was

before.

For me this was a stunning unsettling turn of events and I do believe

anyone who has experienced this train wreck of cataclysmic hair loss magnitude

probably feels the same way. The worst part may be that now you are feeling as

if you have no good options to slow the balding and thinning.

Thoughts like; What will you spouse think?; What will your coworkers

think?; Will my boss look at me like I am over the hill?. Certainly, there are

many others but the bottom line is that a noticeable bald spot or thinning hair

can have a profound impact both socially and professionally.

What is the likely

the cause of my bald spot and/or thinning hair?

The chances are at least 70 percent the reason you are losing your hair

is either male or female pattern balding. These conditions basically shrinks

thousands of hair follicles to a point where they are no longer able to

participate in the hair replacement cycle.

Exactly where you lose your hair depends on the pattern of hormone

receptors and enzymes on the scalp along with the accumulation of the hair loss

hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

Is there anything

that can be done?

The answer is absolutely yes, but in order for hair loss to be halted

and new growth resumed the accumulation of DHT must be slowed (or halted), the

dead or ever shrinking dying follicles must be rejuvenated, and healthy

circulation to the scalp must be encouraged.

Surprisingly there a many natural ingredients that work well to

accomplish these three lofty goals. Some examples are rosemary, prickly ash,

field horsetail, yarrow, maidenhair tree, nettle root, and saw palmetto.

For me at least implementing oral herbal supplementation to block DHT

combined with a topical hair growth stimulator worked the best. Nevertheless, I

have a friends and business acquaintanceswho have used one or the other with good success. I guess a lot depends on how much hair has been lost before treatment is implemented.

The bottom line is that you shouldn't

let that minoxidil induced bald spot, or any other type of balding for

that matter, get you down.

One last note. After implementation natural remedies for hair loss to

erase that ever growing bald spot it should take about 2 weeks for the balding

to cease and about 2 months to begin to see new growth.
