But you are back now, looking for another solution.
I know how you feel. I have been there, done that, gained the weight back. I don not have to worry about that anymore, though.
I used to be (emphasis on used to be) an athlete.
I graduated from college a trim 193 lbs, and enjoyed my physical life.
Then, like in many other cases, life took over. I sat a desk, commuted, fast foode?, and gained weight. My pants got bigger, my energy dropped (along with my self esteem), and before I knew it I had crested the big 300. My budget groaned like my beltline every time I had to buy a new pair of size 42 waist pants because my thighs had rubbed together and worn a hole. I had no energy, looked awful, and could not motivate myself to workout, eat right, or even care.
But I did care I felt awful. Self conscious. Ludicrous. Fat.
Look. I love pizza, chips, and beer. I am not exactly active anymore and have become a little bit lazy. Without the sports to keep me motivated, I lost it. Even the appeal of crash diets, exercise programs, and other fad dieting gimmicks were lost on me. I could not get out of the gate on most of them (3 sets of pull-ups the first day? No thank you!).
And on the ones I tried, I quickly failed.

They made their money, I was still fat.
Then one day my chair broke underneath me. Literally. I was late to a meeting, sat down hurriedly, and turned the conference room chair into kindling. Have you ever been embarrassed? It happened to me. As I sat there listening to a meeting I no longer cared abouta|the answer came through.
It was time to trim the fat
Listen. I am not one of those big time gurus you see pimping their videos on TV, or any of their uber-athlete supermodel workout bodies from those DVD. I am not going to show you my abs, or bust out 5 sets of 40 perfect pull-ups.
I am also not Dr. Atkins, or the South Beach guru, or Chuck Norris (would not hat be cool, though)
It is not a crash diet. It is not an hour and a half per day body bruising workout. It is common sense. It is making the right decisions, and managing your food, your body.
